The Maharashtra Council of Homeopathy has awarded Dr. Samuel Hahnemann Lifetime Achievement Award 2025-26 to Dr. Sandesh Sharad Shah of Indapur (Pune District). The Maharashtra Council of Homeopathy has announced this award.
Dr. Sandesh Shah has organized more than 100 free homeopathic camps in Indapur city and Panchkroshi to promote homeopathy and has provided free medicines to more than 50,000 patients for one month. He has donated free homeopathic medicines to thousands of Warkaris during the palanquin ceremony of Jagadguru Sant Shrestha Tukaram Maharaj for thirty consecutive years. He has successfully organized more than 11 seminars to promote homeopathy in rural areas. During the Corona pandemic, 220 patients who did not get a bed in their own homes were isolated and cured using these medicines. In the 1995s, when there was a campaign that a person lives only 5 years after AIDS, he extended the lives of many patients by giving them homeopathic medicines. He has cured thousands of patients from kidney stones and has avoided surgeries for thousands of patients for various diseases.
Along with homeopathy, he has made great contributions to yoga, vegetarianism, agriculture, blood donation, journalism and addiction. He has helped to alleviate the acute water shortage in Gokhali, Tarangwadi, Vitthalwadi in Indapur taluka, which has been facing drinking water shortage since the country's independence. He has provided free group farming training to 1200 farmers. He has provided competitive exam guidance to 2200 young people. The then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who came to widen the Odha at Vitthalwadi, had mentioned Indapur Rotary Club President Sandesh Shah as a social doctor and glorified his work.
The award distribution will be held in the month of June. The award distribution will be held in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde, Health Minister Prakash Abitkar and other dignitaries.
Meanwhile, State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Dattatray Bharne said, the honor of Indapur taluka has been enhanced by the announcement of this award to Dr. Sandesh Shah. Dr. Sandesh Shah is the only doctor in the taluka to receive this state-level award and we are all rightly proud of his work.
In this regard, President of the National Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation Harshvardhan Patil said, I am a witness as the inaugurator of Dr. Sandesh Shah's free homeopathic camp in Indapur taluka. Dr. Bahubali Shah and 10 to 15 other doctors have come for the camp. Sandesh Shah was being supported. While working as a minister throughout the state, Dr. Sandesh Shah's work was being mentioned in many places. We are all rightly proud of this award announced to him.
